 results

thanks for your well-wishes, everyone. i can't tell you how much i appreciate your kind words.

ray left an update on the previous post, but i figured i should probably also post the results myself. my doctor's office called this morning and said the scan results were all negative, clear of aneurysm and clear of any sign of tumor.

while that is extraordinarily good news, i'm now left to wonder what the hell caused the aphasia, if not a tumor and not an aneurysm. my blood tests haven't come back yet (or at least the nurse on the phone didn't mention that they had), and to the best of my knowledge those blood tests will be able to tell us whether i actually did experience a TIA or not. it might be a couple more days until i learn the results of those labs.

so the next step? i don't know. wait on the labs, i guess. i've got a neurologist appointment scheduled for december 7 in the hopes that a specialist can help pinpoint possible causes of this mysterious attack (whether it was officially a TIA or not).

i've still got a very mild headache, but nothing like i experienced over the weekend. i guess it's more of less life back to normal now.

oh christa!

I'm so glad you're all right - but I'm very sorry you had to go through such a scary and confusing thing.

please take care of yourself, as much as you can.

Girl, I am glad you are ok!!! How scary! Listen, I am moving out of Jerusalem on Friday and I will be very happy go pray/think/meditate for you at the religious shrine of your choice - or the big three - we've go the Western Wall, Al-Aksa, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher within a couple blocks of each other. They don't have any goofy message signs though.

Christa, I am SO glad I read this post today. I had a similar experience about a month ago and was freaked out about it at the time, but haven't thought much about it since I've been feeling better. However, YOU made me THINK and DO something about it today. After reading your post I immediately called my doctor to make an appointment.

I'm especially concerned now because high blood pressure (which I have), stroke, and aneuryms are all evident in my family.

I guess blogs are really not the time wasters as my brother says (I never thought this). They really can help a person out. I'm so grateful for this post. It was a wake up call.

I'll keep you updated.

And I'm glad you're doing well.

That's great to hear!

Whew, you were seriously scaring me! Thinking of you and hope this gets sorted out SOON! Take care.

Talk about an emotional rollercoaster -- as sorry as I am that I didn't see yesterday's post yesterday, I'm also kind of glad I didn't see it until today so I could read this post immediately afterwards and find out that you're okay. Which I'm really, really glad to hear. Frustrating that you don't know what was going on, exactly, but mostly it seems like you're okay, thank the sweet little baby Jesus, if he exists. Let me know if you need anything, and I'll ask Stewpants to get it for you. (That was a joke.) Take care.

Yay! I can uncross my fingers and toes now. I'm very happy the test results were negative (and they came back pretty quickly, which I'm sure was a relief). I think some Xta pampering is in order, don't you? Fluff up your pillows and put Ray on footrub duty.

Jerry -- does that mean you won't ask Jenny to do it because you'll be doing it yourself, or that you just won't even bother to ask Jenny to do it? Just wondering.

Christa -- I'm still holding you in the Light Light Light. (And I still have magazines for you that I keep carrying to Jenny's birthday parties in the hopes of seeing you there .)

but did they do a neuro workup at the doctors/ER?

I suppose we will ALL have to wait and see...
