 for once... practical shoes!

how sexy are THESE?!?! huh??!? am i right???

seriously, this was a pretty monumental shoe purchase: it's been 5 or 6 years since i've had a good pair of athletic shoes. and those i bought off the rack at DSW or something, with little thought to what the shoes did (or didn't do) for my feet.

these, however, came from a small local sporting goods chain, where a very kind salesman was happy to measure my feet and subject me to several other tests (which happened to indicate that i overpronate). i also learned that my right foot is narrower than the left, though it is also a half-size bigger. who knew?

i've become pretty religious about my morning walk (and am even considering starting to jog) and i figured it was past time for me to invest in a stable pair of athletic shoes. and these feel great. they almost propel me in each step. pretty cool.

i can tell the pic was taken on the front porch. presumably the shoes had already propelled you out the door to go jogging-and-photographing-neighbors'-garbage again. ;-)

Very cute! I have a small shoe place near me that watches you walk and then gives you recommendations based on your feet....And while it was unnerving the first time to not get to pick based on style, I was so happy with the way my feet felt in the correct shoes!I'll never chose a pair from the rack, solely based on style ever again. The right shoes do make the biggest difference!

Cute shoes! I just finished the "Couch to 5K" Program as a beginner runner, and I loved it! I highly recommend it if you are just getting into running for the first time (as I was!).
This is the one I followed. We just finished our last run and I am up to running 30 minutes- 3 times a week.
