today was not a day to be proud of, diet-wise. steak & shake, and then krispy kreme.

i've never been a big donut eater. all my friends, for years, have told me to go to the krispy kreme factory in raleigh. they say, "have a hot, fresh glazed and you'll change your mind!" yeah, yeah, yeah. whatever.

so tonight i went.

they were right.

OMG! You are KILLING me with pictures of KK! It's worth making a trip to the US just to eat those heaven-sent donuts!

We have sufganiot here - but just around Hanukkah. Here's an interesting story... http://www.jdc.org//p_is_ps_build_hannukah.html

i swear, i spent years believing that the hype about hot doughnuts was just that: hype. now i wish i had all of those years back. think of all the doughnuts i missed...

Some people love Krispy Kreme. Some People Love Duncan Donuts.
I say, why can't I love all my fellow donuts.
The hot, sticky deliciousness that is Krispy Kreme is just different to the iced delicoiusness that Duncan Donuts offers.

It all makes me prrrrr like a cat.

Krispy Kreme is responsible for a lot of fat on my thighs, I swear. And I regret it not!

all I can say is - I'm glad it's a long ride on 40 away!

So so sweet. Must have coffee to dilute the melty sweet loving grease bombs.

I've eaten as many as 6 in 15 minutes.

I don't know if it's an urban legend or not, but I have heard the KK have like 60 grams of fat PER donut.
Is that even POSSIBLE?

Posted by: Gidge at May 28, 2006 10:29 AM

That does indeed seem to be a myth, Gigdge. The nutritional information on the Krispy Kreme website says one original glazed is 200 calories, 100 from fat, with 12 grams of fat.

So far, I have been able to resist donuts, so I don't want to experience the orgasmic delights of fresh fried dough drenched in a frosting waterfall. One more thing to avoid

12 grams of fat. SO many less than 60......why I could consume 5 of those before I hit that dreaded 60 grams of fat mark.

I think your heart just explodes when you hit 60 grams of fat in one sitting.

So I'll stop at 4.....

Some people have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

I have accepted Krispy Kreme.

Do you mean to tell me that you were a HOT AND NOW virgin?!!!! What a travesty. I am so glad that you got that taken care of.

Once you go "HOT AND NOW" you never go back.

BTW - I used to live accross from a Krispy Kreme and I could just "tell" when the "HOT AND NOW" sign was on. It was like this pschic feeling.

Sort of like "feeling" that there is a television on in the house.

I'm pretty shocked about the first-timer thing, but glad it's over with.
