i got some big beans at the farmers' market this morning.
i think the vendor had labelled them "asian long beans", but she called them "yard beans... as in, beans by the yard".
here's a better idea of how long they are.
i hope they're good.

They bring travel food memories in a hurry. I don't see them that often in the US. Then again, dishes with them were never my favorites in the Philippines or Indonesia.
