something sweet and sticky running down my hand

"Woman's frozen fruit bars give taste of Mexico"

i tasted my first loco-pops tonight:

1) chocolate with three chiles:
holy crap! very smooth chocolate, but overall just a bit too spicy for me. my mouth burned after each bite. definitely a wicked-cool sensation, though... icy chocolate plus caynenne, ancho & chipotle.

2) watermelon with choclate chips:
i wasn't crazy about this one. plain watermelon would have been good. the chocolate chips confused me.

3) ginger cantaloupe:
i died and went to heaven. bright and summery, and the ginger taste was very mild... it just added a little kick to the fruit.

i am going back tomorrow for more!!!!! charo and i discussed bringing a cooler and LOADING UP! at only a buck apiece, why the heck not??!

my other insight from last week -- it's kinda tricky to drive while eating a pineapple/chile paleta, but not impossible.

How big are these things? Got any pics?

phil, the popsicles come in 3 sizes: small ($1), medium ($1.50) and large ($2). we had "medium" and it was the size, roughly, of a fudgesicle. (that kind of flat shape.)

i'll take photos tonight!

I wanna come! Are you going after work?

lord, that ginger cantaloupe sounds good. i would find the chocolate chips in the watermelon pop to be confusing as well. plus I don't like cold chocolate.
