 david lynch weather reports

lynch.jpg

this has to be the weirdest thing i've seen in a long time.

david lynch gives daily weather reports on his website.

Maybe he always dreamed of being a weather man, and now he can be.

strange, though.

he is truly a freak.
but I, of course, like him, and find the report rather comforting.

I wonder if they're literal reports, or metaphorical?

Crap. Now I have to watch that every day.

i think half the fun is trying to figure out WHERE THE HECK HE IS.

also, i note that today's weather report looks the same as the screen shot in your post, except that there's a white plastic tub turned upside down on the table in front of him, with a question mark painted on it.

maybe it changes in some mysterious way every day... maybe it'll wind up being a promo for a new movie. about weather.

i've been watching for a couple of days, and it's always at the same table. the tub is new, though, and very exciting!

i think the first day i watched he mentioned that he was in southern california. though i'm still so freaked out by the whole thing i could be making that up.

He looks a little groggy today.
I can't fucking believe that I am going to bookmark this now.

i guess it should come as no surprise that a highly original filmmaker would turn out to have a highly original idea for unexpectedly compelling web content.

i am SO dying to know what's under the question mark.

I absolutely LOVE his hair.

THIS IS SO DAVID LYNCH. IT'S TOTALLY INCREDIBLE. ONLY A GENIUS COULD HAVE COME UP WITH THIS.

I'm pretty positive he lives in LA.
