 look! over there!

let's talk about toccara, or art, or oprah or something. anything. distract me. i can't stop reading the political blogs. i can't stop reading your blogs and your thoughts on the terrible predicament we're in for the next four years. it's like an accident on the side of the road... it's horrifying, but i can't stop looking. i need to have something shiny dangled in front of my eyes.

ooh! shiny! I'm writing up a whole post on tonight's ANTM but will probably post it tomorrow.

The short version: Tocarra = RAWKS! Yaya = still my fave, Norelle = sweet, Janice = scary freak, b-boy Miss J. = hilarious, Diane von Furstenburg = bitch, Nanette Lepore = yay! Nanette Lepore hating Amanda = double yay!

I found it help to watch the West Wing and slip into that relatively fantastical vision of a populist democratic government. Also South Park and Drawn Togther were pretty distracting.

yes, the west wing definitely helped. i was almost in a good mood after watching it last night.

maybe i should run out and buy the first 3 seasons on DVD to distract me for the next 4 years...

Marc Bouwer is such a little bitch, too. I LOVE Toccara! She is gorgeous. She's also not "fat" - she's the most well-proportioned gal on that show. I hated that she was made to feel bad about herself. She has more oomph than any of them.

although in a word in which Cassie is considered big in the hips...dang. She wanted to go anyway, but jeez.

Alas, I can't watch West Wing anymore. Over the seasons, the writing hasn't kept up with the amazing first couple of years. And I don't much like any of the characters anymore, including the idealistic and arrogant president whose TV actions could never fly (I hope) in real life. Alas alas alas.

phil, you think president bartlett is arrogant?
moreso that our current president?

maybe bartlett's idealism couldn't fly in real life. maybe. but bush's sense of idealism (as warped as it is) has somehow taken wings.

oops! talking about politics again! shiny things... i need shiny things!!!

At least Bartlett appears to have two brain cells he can rub together to make smoke...
